RAL Classic — every colour by colour group

RAL Classic is the oldest and most widely used RAL collection: 216 colours with a four-digit code, the standard for colour communication in industry, construction and government since 1927. The collection was not designed as a palette but grew historically out of what practice demanded — hence the safety and signal colours, the camouflage shades, and the colours laid down in the DIN standards.

The first digit of the code sets the colour group, and this overview is ordered by it: click through to a group and from there to the colour itself, where you will find the official name in five languages, its use in practice, and the reference material that contains it.
