About RAL 9021-F9
Character. Black without gloss. With black in particular, the gloss level is decisive: a glossy black surface is a mirror and gives itself away at once, while a fully matt black reads as shadow. Beside RAL 9005 jet black, the colour difference is small and the gloss difference large.
Function. The contrast and shadow colour of the blotch pattern; it breaks up the outline of an object.
Gloss level. Extremely matt; the gloss range is stated on the card at several measuring angles. Of all the colours in the range, this is the one where a deviation in gloss shows up soonest.
