Personal data is processed in the course of this. SNKI considers it important to handle personal data with the greatest care and to inform you clearly about how we use it.
We process only the data we need in order to provide (and improve) our services, and we handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available for commercial purposes to third parties outside the Consortium NKS, Stichting Nederlandse Kleurenschool and Stichting BNK. This privacy policy sets out which data we collect, what it is used for, and with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against misuse, and what rights you have in respect of the personal data you provide to us. If you have questions about our privacy policy, please contact our privacy contact. You will find the contact details at the end of this statement.
Recording and processing of personal data
We collect the following personal data that you make known to us directly or indirectly, for example when purchasing products or services, creating and using an account, visiting our websites, subscribing to a newsletter, or in the course of a job application.
-
Name and contact details: we use your name, job details and contact details such as address, telephone number and email address to communicate with you about the delivery of the agreed services and products. We also use these details to inform you about relevant offers of products and/or services from SNKI or from members of the consortium, in each case in accordance with applicable law.
-
User interests: personal data about your preferences for particular products and services. We use this to tailor our services, and any information we send you about our own or third-party products or services, more closely to your interests, in accordance with the applicable law on this point.
-
Payment details: we use your payment details, such as bank account number and card details, to process payments (insofar as this applies under the agreement concluded with you).
-
Application details: any application details provided, such as CV data, are used for the application procedure. We will only make your CV data accessible to third parties with your consent. You may at any time restrict access to your CV, in whole or in part. Consider carefully which data you include in your CV when it is accessible to third parties.
-
Visitor data: our website records visit data such as the pages most requested by visitors. The purpose is to optimise how the website is set up. Such data is also used for research and analysis aimed at improving the customer experience on our websites. It may also be used to place information relevant to you on the pages you visit, for example messages in your fields of interest or advertisers' offers. In this way our service to you can be further improved. The data is also used to inform you about relevant offers of products and/or services.
-
We generally retain your personal data for three years, or until three years after the end of the agreement. Cookies
We use cookies in providing our services. A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer's hard disk by your web browser when you visit the website. A cookie contains data allowing you to be recognised as a visitor each time you visit the website. This makes it possible to configure the website specifically for you and/or to simplify logging in.
You can always disable cookies in your browser without far-reaching consequences for your use of the website. The result may, however, be that certain parts become less accessible or inaccessible to you.
Among other things, we use cookies for a web analytics service (such as Google Analytics). These cookies give us insight into visits to our websites through information about visitor numbers, popular pages and topics. This allows us to tailor our communication and information provision more closely to the needs of website visitors.
We also use functional cookies such as session and login cookies to keep track of session and login information, as well as cookies that simplify ordering our products (such as retaining the contents of your shopping cart).
Cookies from social networks such as LinkedIn and Facebook are also in use. The latter apply only if you use the service concerned and make it possible to link or tweet messages. We retain this data for 3 years.
Origin and visitor journey
If you consent to cookies, we record the source through which you arrived at our website — a search engine, a newsletter or an advertisement, for example — and which pages you visit afterwards. We use that data solely to assess which campaigns bring visitors and orders.
We link this data to a random number held in a cookie on your own device, not to your IP address. Only when you place an order is it linked to that order.
If you decline cookies, we record only the source through which you arrived during the visit in which you order. No cookie is placed and separate visits are not linked to one another.
We keep the pages visited for twelve months after your order and delete them afterwards. The source of your order we keep for longer, as part of our business records.
You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings. We then record nothing further.
Does SNKI provide personal data to third parties?

SNKI will conclude a written processing agreement with the processor.
How does SNKI protect personal data? SNKI takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing.
