About RAL 7051-F9
Character. By far the lightest colour in the F9 range. Not a pure white but a broken, light grey — pure white actually stands out in snow-covered terrain, because in practice snow rarely looks white but grey through shadow and soiling.
Function. Winter camouflage, combined with the dark shades from the range for broken terrain.
Gloss level. Extremely matt; the gloss range is stated on the card at several measuring angles. With light colours the reflection requirement weighs even more heavily: a glossy patch shows up sooner on a light surface than on a dark one.
