About RAL 1035
Character. RAL 1035 is not an ordinary opaque colour but an effect colour. The pearlescent pigment refracts the light, so that the colour shifts between lighter and darker grey depending on viewing angle and lighting. That makes the colour incomparable with an opaque grey shade such as RAL 7035 light grey, even when the average lightness matches.
Application. Product design, façade cladding and industrial finishing where an effect is wanted without pronounced metallic gloss.
Effect colours cannot be reproduced with the same precision as opaque colours: film thickness, application method and spray direction all help determine the result. Always assess on a sample applied as the end product will be, under varying viewing angles.
