About RAL 3000
Character. The reference red of RAL Classic. Warmer than RAL 3020 traffic red and less blue than RAL 3002 carmine red. Over large areas the orange undertone is clearly visible.
Application. Fire extinguishing equipment, fire service equipment, safety installations and machine building. Prescribed where red carries a warning or fire-fighting meaning.
Red pigments cover less well than neutral colours, so film thickness has a stronger effect on the end result. Two batches with the same code can differ visibly when they have been applied differently.
