About RAL 010 40 10
For large exterior surfaces that is exactly right. A facade element or woodwork in this shade reads as red brown close up and as dark and warm from a distance — a colour that fits in with its surroundings instead of setting itself against them.
The blue undertone of 010 also keeps the colour out of the orange range. Next to brickwork, which almost always pulls towards orange, that gives a subtle contrast instead of a clash.
