RAL 010 20 10 — Wenge black
The darkest and least saturated shade of this hue. With L* 20 and saturation 10 so little light comes back that the red barely shows itself: under artificial light this surface reads as black, in daylight as a dark brownish red.

About RAL 010 20 10
That is not a shortcoming but a property of how colour behaves at low lightness. Colour needs light in order to be perceived; the darker the surface, the less is left in which to read the hue. Red loses that visibility faster than yellow or green, because the human eye is naturally less sensitive in the red region.
Its use therefore lies in details and structural parts where the colour may play along without standing out — fittings, profiles, undersides. On a large surface this shade does not deliver red but darkness.
