About RAL 000 90 00
Even so, it is not white in the sense in which the paint trade uses the word. The white shades from RAL Classic, such as 9010 pure white and 9016 traffic white, are higher in reflectance. Lay this shade next to either of those two and you see the difference immediately.
This is also where the notation trap lies. In specifications and quotations RAL Design 000 90 00 is fairly regularly confused with the RAL Classic 9000 series, because both start with a nine. They are entirely separate systems: 000 90 00 is a neutral white-grey from the grey axis, 9010 is an off-white with a warm undertone from a different collection. The mix-up produces a visibly different colour.
So always write the three zeros out in full.
