About RAL 000 30 00
RAL 7016 anthracite grey, the best-selling colour in RAL Classic, is a dark grey with a blue undertone. Next to warm materials that coolness comes forward. RAL Design 000 30 00 does not. If you want the darkness of 7016 without the blue side, this is the alternative.
That is exactly where this system is stronger than RAL Classic: you choose the property you need instead of the colour that happens to be available historically. If the shade does turn out too neutral — grey without any direction can feel cold — move to a neighbouring hue with chroma 05 and keep the lightness the same.
