About colour family 160

Colour family from series 100: six solid colours and one metallic. The family sits in the very light, near-neutral region with no pronounced colour direction.

The six solid colours. 160-1 through to 160-6. The six colours lie close together in lightness (L* 89 to 92); the distinction lies mainly in the nuance of the hue, not in light against dark. That calls for comparison at size.

The metallic. 160-M is matched to these six and is intended to be used alongside them, not as a replacement for one of the six. The metallic 160-M is distinctly darker than the six solid colours. Never assess a metallic on a flat sample alone: viewing angle, film thickness and application method all help determine the result. Work with a sample in the final finish.
