RAL P1 plastic colour sample

RAL P1 consists of plastic colour plates in a hundred selected RAL Classic colours. The plates are intended as a binding reference for the colour assessment of plastic products, where a painted paper sample falls short. Each plate has three material thicknesses and three surface textures: gloss, matt and rough. That is not a luxury but a necessity — the same colourant gives a noticeably different result in a thicker wall and on a rougher surface, and those are precisely the differences you need to be able to judge before production starts. For RAL Design colours in plastic there is RAL P2, with two hundred colours from the RAL Design System plus. Together, P1 and P2 cover three hundred plastic colours.
