Meant for choosing and comparing; for a binding reference, use the primary standard RAL E1 metallic. A metallic cannot be looked at in only one way. Viewing angle, film thickness and application method all shape the result, and a screen cannot reproduce the effect at all. So judge the sample at varying angles and preferably beside a specimen in the final finish. Every metallic belongs to a family and carries that same code with the suffix -M. It is tuned to the six solid colours of that family and meant to be used alongside them. The solid colours are available as RAL E6 uni.
