About RAL 080 80 90
Two things make this position exceptional. The saturation is the highest of all 1,825 colours — no other hue rises above 80. And that maximum does not lie in the mid-dark area where most hues have their peak, but at a lightness of 80, with a light reflectance of almost sixty per cent.
Yellow is thus the only colour where you do not have to choose between intensity and brightness. In red, every step of saturation costs light; here the two rise together.
