The new ral-shop.nl is live

RAL-shop.nl has a new website. Alongside the shop there is now a complete colour overview online: every RAL Classic, RAL Design System plus and RAL Effect colour, each with its own page and the option to order directly.
The site has been rebuilt with the phone as the starting point. In Google Lighthouse’s mobile measurement the homepage scores 99 for performance, 96 for accessibility and 100 for both best practices and SEO; on desktop the performance score is 100. Every part — the colour overviews, the colour pages, the bulk form and the checkout — works on phone and tablet exactly as it does on a computer. That is not merely a matter of comfort: colour samples are often ordered on location, with the specification or the existing colour to hand. The shop is also connected directly to our own order management system, so an order arrives without intermediate steps and is processed faster and with less manual work.
The overview is organised by collection. RAL Classic holds 216 colours, ordered by colour group — the first digit of the code determines the group — with the F9 camouflage colours as a separate group within it. RAL Design System plus holds 1,825 colours, ordered the way the system itself is built: by hue, with a diagram plotting lightness vertically and chroma horizontally, so you can see which nuances belong to a hue and where the limit of the system lies. RAL Effect holds 490 colours, by series and by colour family of six solid colours plus the matching metallic.
Every colour has its own page with the official designation and the technical data. For RAL 1004 Golden yellow the designation appears in six languages — Goudgeel, Goldgelb, Jaune or, Giallo oro, Amarillo oro — alongside the official light reflectance value (LRV 42.13), the Lab values (72.2 · 14.5 · 81.7) and an indicative on-screen rendering. That lets you name the same colour in a specification, quotation or supplier order in the right language and with the right values, without detours. On that same page you order the individual colour sample in the formats available for that collection. You can search directly by RAL code, including from the homepage.
Also new is the page for ordering colour samples in bulk. If you need several colours at once, paste or type the codes one below the other — Classic, Design and Effect may be mixed — choose the format and quantity per colour, and add everything to the cart in one action. Available formats include A6 and A4 samples, colour chips, plastic samples and the primary standards.
The on-screen rendering of a colour remains indicative. Only the physical RAL samples are binding for assessing and approving colour; the site therefore points from every colour to the matching sample or fan deck.
